Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160522-3CB45-2147419382. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Ryobi model P108; part number 130429075. Source model text: Ryobi Model number SS26 RY28045. Incident: I was using my Ryobi gas string trimmer and noticed that fuel was leaking from the fuel tank at the point where the fuel lines enter the tank. Fearing that the fuel would catch fire and possibly explode, I immediately stopped using it. This has happened before, but I just now located the source of the fuel leak. I believe this is a defective product because there is no washer or other seal to prevent fuel from leaking. This product should be recalled. It is a Ryobi gas string trimmer model number SS26 - Ry28045.
