Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160616-1596D-2147417754. Matched catalog product: LG LG Gas range, Model LDG4313BD. Source model text: [REDACTED]. Incident: I have an LG brand [REDACTED] Gas Dryer that is leaking a strong gas smell. I have had the gas company come to inspect our connection as well as any other potential gas leaks from other appliances, but it is definitely coming from the dryer. The gas smell comes out from the vent and is also VERY strong when I open the dryer door during a regular cycle. I called LG and they told me that this is a safety hazard but because the dryer was purchased more than a year ago, there is nothing that can be done unless there is actual damage created by the dryer to our home (such as a gas explosion I guess).
