SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160714-32544-2147416872. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kidde Smoke Alarm model P4010DCS-W and p4010DCSCO-W. Source model text: KN-COSM-1B. Incident: Kidde Smoke Detector/Carbon Monoxide detector at fire station beeping every 60 seconds. Which normally means low battery. A new battery was installed device said push test button, the detector then sounded the fire alarm activation but did not cycle and test the CO Portion of the device. Also the green power light is showing that the device has A/C power when in fact it is sitting on my desk. As a Fire Marshal I have had similar issues with this style detector and would like to speak to someone.
