Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160815-FB68D-1588329. Matched catalog product: Cuisinart TOB-40. Incident: On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, I received an electrical shock when I turned off my Cuisinart toaster oven. The original Cuisinart TOB-40 toaster oven was purchased August 24, 2012. It had a 3 year warranty. Within the second year of use, one of the front bottom elements became warped. After the warping became severe, we contacted Cuisinart. The company sent a replacement oven in November 2014. We had to pay for shipping the original unit back to Cuisinart, $35.48.
