SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20160929-AFC9B-2147413537. Severity: Injury, Seen by Medical Professional. Matched catalog product: Samsung Washing machine. Incident: My washing machine was on a normal cycle I was washing two sheets and two pillowcases and I heard a loud bang it sounded like something came through my roof. I check my entire house my two young children what is sterically crying we were in complete panic. The washing machine was actually the last thing I checked when I went over to it I noticed the whole huge hole in the wall and I noticed the sides and front of the washing machine completely exploded. about a minute laterwater began to flood throughout my entire house bathroom and living room.I began to panic as I live alone I tried to dry as much water as I possibly could. I called Samsung immediately and reported the incident. They told me somebody would call me within 24 hours. They also asked me to leave the washing machine in the place that it exploded I told them that it flooded my home and my floors . Somebody did call me the following day at that point he asked me to continue to leave the item in the same spot so they could come and take pictures and investigate. The following day somebody came out took pictures of the items that were in the washing machine as well as the washing machine and left. I contacted Samsung again to ask when they were going to have somebody come and pick up the washing machine as I already had mold growing up my walls in my hallway and on the sidewall of my bathroom which is connected to my laundry room. They told me somebody would come within 24 hours to pick up the washing machine and th
