Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20161011-F1ED7-1600313. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Samsung Model#WA5451ANWXAA02 (Samsung top load washer Model#WA5451ANWXAA02). Incident: I attempted to send a registered report, but after completing all the information, your site said page not found . I have an affected Samsung top load washer reported by the National Network news, Digital Trends, and Consumer Reports. Serial #Y0IX54BC100266X.Model#WA5451ANWXAA02. I entered the serial number on the Samsung website, and their site did Red Flag my washer as one of the affected models. My washer purchase was from Lowes in [REDACTED]. The purchase date was 03/15/2012. I began having mechanical problems, possibly related to the reported malfunctions of the many reported exploding machines. My problems began ( approximately ) 06/10/2015, with my Samsung. My Samsung began making odd mechanical noises within the machine. I noticed that wash loads became more unbalanced than usual. This occurred even with loads smaller than the manual instructed me to use with this washerfar smaller than what a 5+ cubit foot machine is capable of. I would literally have to stay with the washer to monitor it as it would go thru a cycle. This was beyond any minor annoyance. The washer also began, at around the same time as the above reported incident, to malfunction on the spin and drain portion of a given cycle. It also began to improperly refill with water, at the END of each final rinse cycle. Instead of completely draining, it would stop and refill itself again. This would happen even without the extra rinse cycle engaged. The tub would also sometimes completely overfill. Again, I would have to stay right with the machine to mechanically stop it by powering it down.
