Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20161103-D3A87-2147411452. Matched catalog product: Apple iPhone 7. Source model text: iPhone 7, A1778. Incident: I purchased an Apple iPhone 7 in brushed black on September 27th 2016 (Model # MN9H2LL/A) using AT&T as the carrier. I activated the phone soon after receiving it; approximately October 1st. Within the first week, the phone while not in use, became extremely hot to the touch. The phone temporarily stopped working, most likely due to an internal sensor to preserve itself.
