Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20161218-094C2-2147409196. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Anchor Hocking Anchor Hocking 1-cup Glass Measuring Cup. Incident: My 1-cup glass measurer exploded in the sink with no exposure to any sudden temperature changes (nor is any other glass thing that I own) and no knocking or bumping up against anything. I had used it 4-5 hours earlier when making cookies to measure out the oil needed, placed it in the sink, put cool water in it to soak, and left it alone. I have no idea what caused it to shatter like it did. I'm just glad that no one in my house got hurt.
