Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20161227-DA646-2147408847. Severity: Unspecified. Matched catalog product: Samsung 1st stove NX58M9420SS 2nd stove NX58H9500WS. Incident: My Samsung Oven Range has knobs for the stove that turn on too easily. In the six days we have had it I have unintentionally bumped the knobs while reaching into a cupboard next to the stove and turned it on at least a dozen times. Most of the time it has been while I was preparing food and was right there to see the burners turn red and was able to quickly turn it off. However, twice it happened as I was grabbing something and then left the kitchen. The first time a piece of paper had fallen onto the cooktop and the second time was a plastic bowl. Luckily the smell of something burning alerted us in time to prevent a fire.
