Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20161229-8D57C-2147408735. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Char Broil Char Broil Patio Bistro Gas (LP) Grill, Model 126015 Series. Source model text: 463241014. Incident: On September 4, Labor Day, I lit my grill to use for the day. After sitting for a few moments in a chair I noticed white smoke coming from out the open back of the grill. I was facing the front of the grill so I opened the door that exposed the tank and connecting valve. The connection was on fire. It was melting the plastic knob. Having been a fireman I soaked a kitchen towel and wrapped it around the union to smother the flames. I then turned off the valve on the tank. I checked to see if the connection to the valve from the tank was loose, but it was tight. I haven't used the grill since. I went online to your sight and found that this company has had this same problem on other models.
