Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170112-B9BCB-2147408194. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung destroyed in fire. Most likely WA45H7000AW or WA52. Source model text: WA45H7000AW. Incident: Purchased a top load washing machine from SAMSUNG sixteen months ago and the drum stopped spinning adequately a few weeks ago and then started violently banging the housing. I did what Samsung said and bought a new one because consumers are lamenting about the shoddy repair process. The day it came, before I could add the new serial number to the rebate form and mail it off, it BROKE AFTER THE FIRST WASH... been waiting almost a week with no reply from Samsung. I am out 2200 on the set of washer and dryer and have a broken machine sitting in my house after the first one was hauled off. The rebate will not even cover the entire cost of the new machine MUCH LESS THE OLD ONE I PAID 800 for. This whole episode has been emotionally draining I have to find a way to pay my credit card bill for this mess. WE HAVE BEEN WRONGED AND WE DESERVE HELP.
