Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170114-6C5CB-2147408060. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Product: SHARK NV352 31 (A Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe in purple). Incident: I recently purchased a Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Vacumm cleaner from my local Big Lots store and since day one I have received shocks coming from the handle, wand, or sometimes even the hose primarily while vacumming thicker carpets. It started out like a soft static shock on my hand and fingers and when it would brush up against my legs. But as a few weeks have gone by the shocks are now stronger and much more frequent. And one time it shocked me so bad that I had a slight pain shoot up and down my arm that lasted for about half an hour. I'very since stopped using it. The model number is NV352 31 and the date code is 1416 if that helps.
