Incident: I was making supper on my Samsung range model number FTQ3531WUX 30 I was using the oven as well as the cooktop As I started to go upstairs I heard a loud pop and turned around to see what it was Smoke was pouring out from the back of the stove and there was a strong electrical smell I ran downstairs and turned off the circuit breaker My son who is a electrical maintainance tech came up and took the back panel off The middle relay is melted and blackened He said I was really lucky I didn't have a fire and that it was a design flaw Upon going online and researching several sites this seems to be a real common problem The stove I have was manufactured in Nov of 2010 but I am sure I didn't purchase until 2011 If this can prevent 1 family from losing their home or worse yet their lives it will be worth the filing of this report
