Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170308-80464-2147405384. Matched catalog product: Kenmore Kenmore 796. 91383410. Source model text: 796.29272001. Incident: I have had this washing machine for 5 years. Frequently it gets extremely unbalanced and literally walks inself into the laundry room, banging into the wall and the dryer. The other day the bottom agitator had come completely loose and was askew in with the laundry like someone had thrown a hubcap in my load. I immediately did an internet search to see if this was a common problem and found out that there has been a recall for my model related to the washing machine becoming dangerously unbalanced. I followed the instructions and called the Kenmore/LG number at 888.812.2935. I told them that my washing machine was broken and that I thought it was related to the recall issue and they scheduled a repair.
