SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170322-A1C39-2147404969. Product: Goodman Goodman HVAC heat pump. Wall mount. Blower motor relay.. Incident: We have had over 6 instances of blower motor relays failing in Goodman wall mounted heat pumps in on of our apartment complexes. I have forwarded the product information to [REDACTED] along with photos. The relays are smoking the apartments up and setting off the smoke detectors. Maintenance has advised they have swapped out approximately 25 relays most of which did not involve the fire department. No structure damage has occurred as of the present time.
