Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170403-764A2-2147404664. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: LG WT5101HV. Incident: I own a washing machine made by LG model WT5101HV serial number 112KWATOK352. I had never received a recall from LG. The washing machine exploded causing the entire top portion to fly off the machine. It was in the spin cycle as evidenced by very little water in the drum. The drum was sitting on the bottom of the unit. The plastic pieces holding the support brackets were broken. The entire machine was warped out of shape. If anyone had been in that room near the machine they would have been seriously injured.
