Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170406-3C615-2147404593. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Maytag Medc200xw (Maytag centennial dryer). Incident: I purchased a maytag centennial dryer a couple years ago. It had to be repaired for the same electrical issue 4 times now. The main board or controls wiring have burned completely four times as well as other wiring in the hoysing. I have had my electric check by an electrician who assures me the outlet and wiring specifically for the dryer is proper but something is wrong eith the product housing and wiring overheating which causes the plastic sheating on the wiring to completely burn off exposing the wiring and overtime and continued to burn the wiring till it was destroyed and the product stopped working. This wiring unit or hoysing piece was replaced four times due to the same issue happening again and again. My house could have caught fire and i believe this product should be investigated yo prevent this again
