Incident: My HP Pavilion dv7 laptop (which I paid $2838.56 for) gets so hot it has burned our four year-old and I have to have my left hand on a oven pad to keep from getting burned while using it. It does this with anything over 6% of CPU usage. I have read there were recalls on several overheating issues with HP but they never contacted me if this is related. If it is not, it should be recalled for safety. It gets worse each month. I've been trying to get all data saved to external drives but I have no choice but to use the computer as I purchased it for work. If I turn it off for over 24 hours it will be cool for a few minutes before revving up the fan and making the metal frame all unbearable and dangerous. I'm afraid some time it will melt the plastic components and start a fire.
