Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170516-AAD31-2147400465. Matched catalog product: Samsung destroyed in fire. Most likely WA45H7000AW or WA52. Source model text: WA45H7000A. Incident: My Samsung washing machine is part of the Samsung safety recall. I purchased the washer at Home Depot in [REDACTED]on July 6, 2014 and had it delivered to my summer home in [REDACTED] on July 28, 2014. At the time of the recall announcement last November, there wasn't much I could do about it except to register with Samsung, because I was already in [REDACTED], my state of residency. When I spoke to someone at Samsung, I asked how long I had to request a rebate. I was told they would kindly extend my deadline to June 1, 2017. Later, I read on the paperwork they sent me that I really have until next November, one year after the recall announcement!
