Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170605-69FFB-2147399936. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Char Broil Stainless Gas Grille 4636455015 (CharBroil Stainless Grille (2 burners) small grille w/propane standard I did not see any dates on the labels when manufactured, so dates below are estimated. Lowes should have dates on file with our purchases.). Incident: Charbroil Stainless Grill (small 2 burner), this product was purchased at Lowes store in 2016. I had incident last year when the grill caught on fire while using. I thought maybe I had the burners up to high and had grease fire, in which I needed to use my fire extinguisher to put out flames. I cleaned the grill after fire and continued to use occasionally. When using the grill this year I placed the burners at low temperature when using. I have noticed the burners are not sealed properly and at the front of the burners, their is leakage of propane and flames shoot out at the front. Needless to say I had another fire and I shut the grill down for good. I did go on-line to see if any complaints were made about my situation and found several of same complaints. This needs to be addressed by Charbroil immediately and recalled for the safety of the consumer. Thank you.
