Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170611-6E60F-2147399797. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Cuisinart TOB-40. Incident: I purchased my Cuisinart toaster oven (TOB-40) 3 years ago. About 1 year ago I noticed the front coil had a small warp to it, however I did not think much of it at the time. Today the warp has become significantly worse and was actually touching the bottom crumb tray and caused a small fire inside of the toaster oven. I immediately looked online and have come across numerous complaints over the past 4 years regarding this toaster oven. It is very dangerous and should be recalled nationally due to his long history of safety issues.
