Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170612-B2BCB-2147399752. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Matched catalog product: Apple SE. Source model text: Apple Watch Series 1. Incident: I had the watch for about 10 hours when I went to check time and it exploded on my wrist. It instantly became scorching hot and I rapidly removed it from my wrist to prevent injury from heat, fire or contents of the battery pack. At my age (68) the incident startled me but the redness on the top side of my wrist subsided without the need for medical attention and I do not believe physical injury other than the momentary heat occurred. After two days of trying to work with Apple to no avail, I was left with no other option than to give up and the report the incident for the benefit of other costumers wearing what I have now learned from internet searches is a very dangerous product.
