Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170613-549C4-2147399744. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Ryobi RY42102. Source model text: RY42102 (090264001). Incident: While blowing off the patio, the orange fan blade exploded in to pieces. Our 18 month old son was playing nearby and was hit with a piece. Fortunately no injuries were sustained but he was quite frightened by the experience. I now see there is a recall but didn't know about it at the time of use. We have owned the blower for 6 months and used it maybe 8x.
