Incident: I received an email from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding the Cordless Electric Lawn Mowers Recalled Due to Fire Hazard; Made by Hongkong Sun Rise Trading. I purchased one of these mowers August 23rd, 2014 which falls in the date range for the recall. I am concerned at the potential fire hazard that this mower presents. At the time that I received that recall, I had not yet used the mower this season. During the first time using this mower, it remained very hot for much longer than it should have. I removed the battery in an effort to cool the unit down.
