Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170715-500A6-2147398940. Severity: Injury, First Aid Received by Non-Medical Professional. Product: Cub cadet I don't know (Cub Cadet xt1). Incident: I have a Cub Cadet lawnmower that I purchased 2 years ago that was brand new at the time. Well today when I was done cutting grass I shut it off and the engine burst into flames in which I was able to contain and extinguish the fire before any major damage to my home but sustained injuries on my hand to include blisters and lacerations. So far after trying to contact the manufacturer I have been unsuccessful due to being transferred from department to different department. The lawnmower in question is a cub cadet xt1, 46 inch deck with a Koehler 22hp engine. It appears that the current company in question does not have a concern in assisting me and I am looking at having to get the media as well as a lawyer to assist me in resolving this matter.
