Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170818-9FE8F-2147398034. Matched catalog product: Samsung 1st stove NX58M9420SS 2nd stove NX58H9500WS. Source model text: NE58H9950WS. Incident: My Samsung slide in range model NE58H9950WS has sensitive electronic controls and it sometimes is accidentally turned on if touched when I lean/reach over it. I was cleaning my countertop around the range when a warming function was accidentally turned on. I heard a very loud and long buzzing sound which I discovered was coming from the range. Smoke was coming from around the range and counter. I tried to turn off the oven warming but was not able to do so. I ran to my electrical breaker box and turned off electricity to stop feeding power to what was clearly an electrical fire. (I was not cooking food or cleaning my oven at the time.)
