Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20170929-3630D-2147397110. Matched catalog product: KitchenAid KDTM354DSS. Source model text: KDTM354DSS0. Incident: My dishwasher caught fire. I opened the front and found that the electric board had caught fire. The design is poor. Not only did the electric board catch fire, but the wires leading up to the board have melted into the plastic casing over time. Poor design apparently has the area so hot that it's melting the wires and perhaps also causing the board to overheat and catch fire.
