Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20171020-A547E-2147396640. Severity: Injury, No First Aid or Medical Attention Received. Matched catalog product: Ryobi RY42102. Incident: Ryobi 8amp Jet Fan Blower Model RY42102 impeller blades shattered and ejected a few seconds into use resulting in minor leg scratches and a million tiny pieces of red plastic strewn across my driveway. Returned to mfg, per CPSC recall for replacement. Mfg had failed to replace more than 8 weeks after return, offers no estimate of when they will replace (despite fact that replacement model is in stock at retail outlets), and offers no alternative, such as refund or coupon for replacement unit.
