Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180104-E07F1-2147394008. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Apple Model Name: MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) Model Num. Source model text: 60 W MagSafe Power Adapter Model A 1344. Incident: The electrical cord has frayed where it joins the power adapter. I have never pulled on the cord nor yanked it nor wrapped it tightly. (I worked at the National Safety Council for 10 years and know how to safely handle appliances and cords.) There are many complaints in online chat rooms about frayed Apple cords. I was informed by the Apple sales person in Orland Park, Illinois, that the product was a fire hazard and that I should buy another one.
