Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180321-89DA5-2147389118. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Frigidaire FGEF3055MFE (Frigidaire Gallery Electric Range, model FGEF3055MFE, serial # VF23971385). Incident: I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery electric range (model FGEF3055MFE, serial # VF23971385) in 2013. On 3-18-2018 the computer board in back of the range caught on fire. I had the oven set at 375 degrees. An alarm went off with an error code F10. I was not able to shut the range off. Smoke was coming out the back of the range. Had to shut the circuit breaker off. My husband checked the oven temperature with a heat gun and it registered 640 degrees. I called Frigidaire and explained how their product could of burned my house down. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she would only offer a 30 percent discount on the parts because my model has not been recalled. I am not happy with Frigidaire. I feel a company should stand behind a product that changes on fire.
