Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180617-0285C-2147387333. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Apple iPhone 7 (Iphone 7 Black, Bought in September 2016). Incident: Last Friday Morning around 7:30am PST, my iphone 7 was all sudden explored on my couch. It was shaking for about 30 seconds with a large amount of chemical smoke coming out. (I have attached all the photos for your reference). Fortunately, none of the family members were injured at this point. But we were all shocked by the incident. I would be okay with that if my new couch wasn't also burned with this big hole in the middle due to the incident and it cost $1700+Tax+ Transportation Fee. I changed my mind and requested them to return the damaged the phone back to me. After I went home, I did more research and found that I am not the only victim, some people had experienced even worse situations, and Apple has not done anything to them, and all that they are trying to do is the put the blame on the users. And at least compensate an
