Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180620-11F87-2147387270. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung Model Number- RF18HFENBSR US. Source model text: Ne59j7630sg. Incident: I used the self clean feature on my Samsung range model number Ne59j7630sg for the first time and it got so hot that it shut down the control panel and the oven remains locked. I flipped the breaker and also unplugged the appliance and it didnt reset the range like customer service thought it would. I also held the off/clear button for 3 seconds as I was told to do with no result. This is a fire hazard not only because of the heat inside the oven but also because it stresses the electrical components of the range. It seems to be a common issue with Samsung ranges but they will not issue a recall.
