SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180731-151F0-2147386457. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Kenmore 790.9446.3700. Source model text: 790.94343700. Incident: Kenmore flat top stove heats to very high temperature although the knob is turned to a low temperature. Burner does not always cut off when the knob is turned into the off position. Problem is typically front large burner on left of stove (facing stove). I have called Sears, but they say this model is not included in the current recall. I am trying to be preventive in this causing a fire or injury.
