Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180808-27A43-2147386306. Matched catalog product: Samsung ME21K7010DG. Incident: I purchased a Samsung microwave oven last year at Lowes. It was their top model. Shortly after installing it, the microwave would start operating on its own. Numbers would be selected, the lights would turn on, the vent, and even the heating element. This was even occurring at night when we slept. I contacted Samsung, they sent someone here and they fixed it, free of charge, as it was within the year of purchase. However, shortly after it was fixed, it began happening again, only this time it was after the year warranty. Samsung refuses to do anything about unless I pay a $100 deposit to bring a technician here, plus any costs associated with labor and parts. They told me it would easily cost over $200 to fix and advised me it would probably be best to purchase a new microwave, which I refuse to do considering this is only a little over a year old. I read reviews online, and there are dozens, perhaps hundreds, of similar complaints of this model of microwave. I will atttach the link below to a review website; youll notice all the stories are similar. Please feel free to contact me to help resolve this issue before someone suffers a serious injury. Thanks
