Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20180918-29A7E-2147385499. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Frigidaire Gallery LGEF3045KFB (30 stove Frigidaire Gallery). Incident: We have a Frigidaire Gallery Smooth top stove Serial# VF05122805 and Model# LGEF3045KFB that was purchased at Lowes around August 2015. Monday morning September 10, 2018 at 1:20 AM in the MORNING we were awoken by a beeping sound, we got up and went into Kitchen area only to find that our stove pre-heated itself to 525 degrees on a pizza mode. After numerous attempts to turn off the oven we had to turn the breaker off. Tuesday evening the 11th we turned breaker back on and oven started up again by itself. Thank goodness we were home and are light sleepers that we heard the oven pre-heat as this could have been a fire hazard. I called Frigidaire to be told that I need to call a technician and possibly have some parts replaced. I do not feel comfortable replacing any parts as fear this could happen again.
