Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20190302-D738D-2147382413. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Razer Razer Blade 15 Advanced 09-0330. Source model text: Razer Blade V6 - 4K UHD - 512GB. Incident: My Razer Blade V6 - 4K UHD - 512GB laptop that is less than a year old caught fire. I was sitting down doing work and I noticed fumes rising from the keys and I was quick to unplug everything and set it aside. I learned my laptop had caught on fire and the circuit board had burnt. It was so hot that I nearly scalded myself. I am thoroughly disappointed with Razer's product line as this product posed a fire hazard to me. If I was asleep and my laptop was on downloading a file perhaps, it could've been a much different story.
