Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20190415-86964-2147381558. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: LG LDF6810ST (LG dishwasher (model LDF6810ST)). Incident: Re: LG Dishwasher Fire On March 3, 2019, during a dishwashing cycle, our LG dishwasher (model LDF6810ST) started a fire that filled our home with smoke and could have caused extensive harm to life and property had we not been nearby. She also told me that someone from LG's product team would be contacting me to discuss the incident. She also offered me 15% off a new LG dishwasher. I rejected this offer out of hand, which I felt was offensive and inappropriate under the circumstances. The inspection occurred on March 8, 2019. An LG inspector came to our home and inspected the dishwasher. He confirmed that
