Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20190819-C0790-2147379176. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Samsung WA52M7750AW (Samsung washer). The technician stated that it was obvious that the washer exploded, but this [REDACTED] word prevailed. No one at Samsung wished to cooperate and I filed a Better Business bureau complaint on April 4, 2019 (Case ID [REDACTED]). Samsung ultimately negotiated reluctantly and agreed to a "one-time special accomdation" to repair the washer. The technician came back out and ordered practically an entire new assembly for the inside of this washer, well in excess of the cost to refund it and allow me to purchase another machine. In the meantime, Samsung also unilaterally voided my one-year warranty on the machine (that I had only purchased on September 28, 2018) in April after the first repairs and did such after I specifically asked if my warranty would still be effective, to which I was told it would
