Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20191125-1812E-2147376363. Severity: Injury, Level of care not known. Product: HP HP Notebook - 15-da0032nr (HP Notebook - 15-da0032nr Serial number: CND8268BCH Product number:4EY61UA). Incident: I have a HP Notebook - 15-da0032nr Serial number: CND8268BCH Product number:4EY61UA It was purchased at Micro Center in Columbus, OH back in September 2018. Over the past few months I have noticed that the part of the charger that connects to the AC plug for the wall has been overheating during charging and a few days ago it was hot enough to burn my hand. I do not leave it plugged in for a prolonged period of time and only for a couple of hours at the most before unplugging and letting the battery run down naturally while the laptop is being used. It is charging without issue but the overheating happens within about 30 minutes of plugging the unit in, the plug also occasionally sparks when it is first being plugged in (has done this at several residences). I know HP has recently recalled some products due to overheating and wanted to see if this model is part of that recall or needs to be added
