Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200228-930D5-2147374576. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS AMERICA, INC. (SEA) Free Standing gas range (Free Standing Gas Range 30 in. 5.8 cubic feet Model #NX58R4311SS=AA Serial # OG907DDM906457K). Incident: I bought a Samson Gas Oven on 11/17/19 . On Febuary 24th 2020 it caught on fire ! I was pre heating the oven when i could see smoke and i opened the oven door and flames were big coming from the bottom of the stove . i quickly turned it off but the fire kept blazing, I called 911 then it went out before 911 answered so i hung up. Of course they called me back and i told them what happened and that i did not need the firemen to come. I called home depot first thats who in bought it from. they told me my Warrenty was with Samsong and to call them so i did. The assured me they would take care of this. They sent a man to come check it out on 2/27/20 and he said there were pecans in the bottom of the oven that caught fire and that the warrenty will not cover this. My issue is that this stove has 2 vents that are 2 to 3 inches wide , one on each side of the oven floor and the length of the oven . If it is that easy for food to fall in and catch fire , how could thisnproduct be safe. I live in a mobile home and i could have easily blown my house up. Thank God this did not happen. I cant even sell the stove to anybody in good faith knowing and seeing what i saw. I dont know what i am going to do . But i know i cant use this stove anymore, I really believe it needs to be re called
