Incident narrative
SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200315-5E058-2147374361. Matched catalog product: Samsung RF4287HARS. Source model text: Rf4287hars/xaa. Incident: Samsung has a factory defect and refuse to fix mine. Temp on the door says 34 but has regularly gone over 45 ,46 numerous times as I have a know accurate thermometer in my refrigerator and in my freezer. I have paid 2 times to fix my unit and this is the 3rd. I just want mine fixed as this is a known factory defect going back as far as 2008. If it cant be fixed I want a refund or a credit at Lowes or other retailers that sell a similar unit. Samsung refuses to have a recall even as this is a no warranty issue. DEFECT plain and simple. There are over 120,000 people on [REDACTED] that have numerous issues with Samsung giving refunds as far back as 2009. So if giving over $1,600,000 back to people for products they sell isnt a admission of a defect Im not sure what would constitute one. Would a company refund that much money unless it was guilty? All this money refund just started in June or July of 2019. The bad thing is [REDACTED] and Lowes still sell these bad refrigerators with them knowing that there is a factory defect. Samsung has still built these as of 12-2019 !!!! Samsung has refunded money as far back as units that were built in 2009 in just the last few days.
