Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200417-5E206-2147372863. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Frigidaire Model # FFHS2611LW. Incident: I own a 24" Frigidaire wall oven. During routine use of oven, fluids juices (small amounts -not a deluge) that fall of the top lip of the oven can drip right into the top control panel. This happened to me while I was cooking yesterday and I heard several large electrical zaps as the unit shorted. I disassembled the unit and found the whole panel burned out, but worse, there are open/exposed 220V electrical contacts on the back!!! No seal, No back cover on the control panel-exposed metal contacts. This is a highly unsafe design with obvious electrocution and fire risks
