Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200428-BD733-2147372658. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung Samsung NE589500SS. Incident: In 2012 I researched and bought a somewhat expensive Samsung refrigerator at around $2300 from HH Gregg here in Fsirfield Ohio. We had HH Gregg repairmen out 2 x for frozen ice, no ice and freezing puddle under crisper. After losing all of my groceries twice. I was informed it was unfixable. I did not learn this was a common design flaw until a few days ago. It started giving me trouble a couple of months later due to a defect in the design. Its ice makers stopped working, water started pooling under crisper drawer, the back stayed frozen over, and the biggest issue is that the outside temperature display would say the right temperature while the inside would actually be a lot warmer. This caused my insulin to be kept at the wrong temperature causing him to become sick. There is no fix to these problems due to a design defect. The temperature on the inside of fridge is not accurate and we constantly lose food due to low temperatures.
