Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200501-2D95B-2147372616. Matched catalog product: Samsung RF28HMEDBSR. Incident: Samsung refrigerator model RF28HMEDBSR keeps icing up in the back panel causing the fan to quit working. Subsequently the temperature is rising and it's spoiling my food. Two weeks ago I consumed some of the spoiled food and didn't know it had gone bad. Everything was well with in the expiration dates. The result was me being sick from botulism for a night. I found that my refrigerator temperature was well above the programmed 37 degrees. I actually have purchased separate refrigerator thermometers to monitor the temperature now. The coils on the refrigerator are freezing up daily even after doing a manual defrost from the control panel. This is a known defect from Samsung and they have been denying it for a few years now. These refrigerators are unsafe and I'm sure this has happened to more then just me.
