Product: Kenmore Kenmore model no. 790.80323310 (Over the Range Microwave Kenmore manufacturer January 2018 stainless steel). Incident: I was sitting at my table in the kitchen when I smelled a heat burning smell and the microwave was not on the door was closed and I looked around my home to find the heat burning smell then all of a sudden I heard the microwave making a humming sound and its light was still off I opened the microwave door and the inside right panel was very hot like something was burning so I unplugged it from the wall outlet. I was not using it ,it just happened to start humming on it's own and was heating up in the right side panel. I feel like if I hadnt been home ot could have caused my home to catch fire.it is a kenmore over the range microwave oven, model #790.80323310 Serial #KG 80452456 FCC ID VG8EM044KYY I called customer assistance and they want to advise a sears technician to come out for 256.00 to see what is the cause when I have read online that if the magnetron goes out it is warranted by Kenmore.I feel like if I had not been home it would had caused a fire.this is a potential fire hazard the microwave was manufactured January 2018 manufactured. please check this out as the similar kenmore microwave counter top type has a recall also.i plugged it back up this am to dee if it would even come on,it does come on but it doesnt work like apparently the megatron burned up on its own, fire hazzard..please investigate this for us .thanks so much [REDACTED]
