Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200807-1210D-2147370628. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung S7. Source model text: Silver S7 Active SM-G891A. Incident: I am writing about my cell phone Samsung Silver S7 Active SM-G891A from ATT. Today I noticed that the phone was getting very hot, the battery draining unusually fast, but more scarily, the back of the phone was no longer flat, it bulges, so it wobbles on a flat surface. I think the battery has swollen. I was not doing anything unusual with the phone, just having a [REDACTED] meeting and noticing the wobble. I remember the S7 Note batteries were the ones that used to blow up, back when they were introduced in the USA, so I am letting you know. I cannot replace the battery because it is sealed in the phone. I feel if I keep using it, I risk damage to person and property. The bulge is a bit more that 1/8 of an inch from the original back of the phone.
