Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200812-62835-2147370524. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Google Pixel one XL (Cell phone, Google Pixel one XL). Incident: I have used a Google Pixel one XL for over 2 years, as usual, I put the phone on the nightstand and charged it before going to sleep. I was woken up by noise on 7/29/2020, wednesday morning around 6AM , I saw the phone on the fire and the bedroom was filled with smoke, the smell was terrible, not only the phone was completely destroyed, but also the nightstand surface was burned. The worst thing is that the smell made me sick. The plastic case completely melted down, it emitted a lot of toxic gas, inhaling gas made my throat irritation and vomiting. I cannot sleep in my bedroom for a few days because of the odor smell. Looks old pixel one is not safe to use, I searched online, other users also report Google Pixel one explosion. it may be a potential safety issue for all Google pixel one phones. I'd like government to investigate it. Thanks,
