Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200819-C6D9F-2147370368. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Samsung UN65JS8500FXZA (Samsung 65 inch 4k 3d smart tv). Incident: I purchased a Samsung 4k Model #UN65JS8500FXZA smart tv 2016 and it is becoming to be a fire hazard. The tv is becoming excessively hot to the touch. The screen is developing a dark Ghost shadow from the pixel lights burning through the screen. I've contacted Samsung support but they say my warranty is expired, i let them know this is not a warranty issue because to many consumers with this model are having the same issues and it is a total recall issue. No one would expect to spend over $3,000 for a product that would last only 4 years to become unusable and become a fire hazard. This product has been discontinued and this is usually why Samsung would take them off the market. To have the tv repaired would only lead back to this issue because of the design flaw, it's a fire hazard. If the tv catches fire the warranty only covers the tv not your home this makes this a recall issue.
