Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200902-526BA-2147370078. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Product: Ranger 570 EPS - PAINT NARA BRONZE (R19RME57BX) 1205864 (Polarais Ranger 570EPS Utility Vehicle). Incident: After approximately 20-30 minutes of normal use of my Polaris Ranger 570EPS (mucking horse stalls and pasture, then depositing in collection area) I parked my UTV on our concrete driveway. Ignition off. Went in house for bathroom break and to get a drink. No more than 10 minutes later heard a loud pop sound. My husband was first on scene (within 10 seconds) to discover our UTV engulfed in flame. I was on my way outside when he yelled "call 911 the Polaris is on fire". The UTV was indiscernible for the inferno by the time I reached it (less than 20 seconds from the "pop"). My husband and I both used water hoses to do our best to contain and put out the fire. [REDACTED] sheriff was first on scene in approximately 20 minutes followed by [REDACTED] Fire and EMS. Fire Department used water hose to extinguish what was remaining of the UTV fire and nearby tree.
