Incident narrative

SaferProducts.gov consumer incident report 20200902-FFF3D-2147370086. Severity: Incident, No Injury. Matched catalog product: Samsung Samsung NE589500SS. Incident: No injuries have been sustained. I have a 5 year old Samsung refrigerator that has never really worked properly. The trouble we had was with the ice maker, but after researching the issues on the internet, I saw some complaints that temps inside the fridge & freezer were frequently not low enough so I put thermometers inside to monitor mine. The freezer temp has been up to 10 degrees F and the fridge temp is regularly in the 45 degree F range. I would not have known without the thermometers as the display on the fridge consistently reads 0 & 37 degrees F for freezer and fridge respectively. According to what I've seen on the internet, this is a common problem with Samsung fridges. I think this may be a significant issue if medically fragile people are regularly eating foods that have been improperly stored in their Samsung fridge.
